The registration fee is $30.00 for skydivers and $15.00 for people not skydiving. If want, you can go ahead and pre-register and save $5.00. Remember, anyone is welcome to come out and party with us and enjoy this fun event and meet new and old friends. Camping is free at Skydive Palatka. There are also a few RV hook ups, please contact Skydive Palatka @ (386) 328-0606 to reserve a spot.

WE WILL BE JUMPING THE SKYVAN FROM FRIDDAY AROUND NOON TILL SUNDAY!

Jeff's last wish was for us to spread his ashes one year after he died. Well, that date is just around the corner. Art will be organizing the jump, so contact him if you are interested on being on it. We will be doing the jump at sunset. Then there will be plenty of Bud Light and Palatka Blue water for us to drink in celebration. Remember to bring your purple and display it in memory of one of Skydive Palatka's icons.

The Skydive Palatka Freefly Mini-camp starts on the evening of December 10 with a potluck dinner (bring a dish!) and safety/informational meeting.
Jumping will begin early Sunday morning.

Requirements: Minimum A license. 

Cost: Prepay a $15 registration + the cost of your own jumps. We estimate approximate three jumps.

Group size: No more than 6. Hurry up and registrer before for slots fill up.

Extras: Bring your audible altimeter. If you currently dont own one the DZ will have some to borrow for free if you don't yet own one.

Photo by Ashley DuncanAfter a grueling 7-hour First Jump Course, Dave Jaworski, Alex Klimas, and Barry Wheeler were understandably disappointed when they were unable to make their first AFF jumps due to 30+mph winds. However, after arriving Sunday morning and a blessing from SkyGod, they were all able to make their first jumps. Each student did excellent and they are all on track to become licensed skydivers. We look forward to seeing them around the dropzone much more!

In other news, both James Nowell (like howell or powell) and Elias Wagner completed all the jumps and objectives necessary in AFF and have been cleared for self-supervised freefall. After only 7 jumps, these guys are flying solo.

Skydiving for only a few years, Shane has excelled at Swooping and grown tremendously from local competitions, Nationals, and now the 11th International Dubai Parachuting Championship.Photo by Tyfani Detky

Shane finished 12th out of 87 competitors from around the world. He was bested by many of the "big names" in skydiving - those that have been skydiving for many years and hold multiple national and world championship gold medals and records. The future looks promising for this up and coming skydiving star!

The event is Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th, 8am to 5:30pm.
