Skydive Palatka is located on the northeast
corner of Kay Larkin Airport (28J) in the city of Palatka, Putnam County,
Florida USA.
From the airport entrance on S.R. 100: Turn left at the
flagpole, pass through the gate and (following signs) continue east and
around the corner to the DZ.

From Georgia:
Take I-95 South towards Jacksonville, then I-295 South
around Jacksonville to Orange Park. Take U.S. Highway 17 South through
Green Cove Springs and Bostwick toward Palatka. Cross over the Rice Creek
Bridge
From West Jacksonville:
Take U.S. Highway 17 South through Green Cove Springs and Bostwick toward
Palatka. You will pass the large smoke stacks from Seminole Electric,
and cross over the Rice Creek Bridge. About 1/2 mile past the bridge Turn
right on State Road 216 (at a set of RR tracks). Pass the Georgia Pacific
paper mill, and Turn right at traffic light onto State Road 100 West.
Take first left (1 block) into Kay Larkin Airport. Go through left gate
and follow road all the way back to Skydive Palatka.
From Orange Park: 42 miles.
From East Jacksonville and the Beaches: Take Interstate 95 South to State
Road 207 South toward East Palatka. Turn right onto State Road 100 West
(also U.S. Highway 17 North). Cross over the St. Johns River, drive through
downtown Palatka, then turn left at division of S.R. 100 and U.S. 17 (at
Tio Pepe's Latin Grill, ABC Liquor) staying on S.R. 100 West. Cross State
Road 19 (6-lanes) and continue about 1 mile till S.R. 100 becomes a 2-lane
highway. Take first left into Kay Larkin Airport.
From I-295: 50 miles.
From Gainesville:
Take either North 39th Street (State Road 232) East to State Road 26 East
(from North Gainesville or Alachua) or University Drive East past Waldo
Road, keeping left to continue on S.R. 26 East (from South Gainesville
and Campus). Cross U.S. Highway 301 at Orange Heights and continue East
through Melrose to Putnam Hall. Turn right onto State Road 100 East toward
Palatka. Continue twenty miles, then turn right into Kay Larkin Airport.
From Waldo Road: 40 miles.
From Daytona and Beaches:
Take Interstate 95 North to exit 89. Take U.S. Highway 1 North to Bunnell.
Turn right onto State Road 100 West toward San Mateo and Palatka. S.R.
100 West joins U.S. Highway 17 North in East Palatka. Cross over the St.
Johns River, drive through downtown Palatka, then turn left at division
of S.R. 100 and U.S. 17 (at Hardee's, ABC Liquor) staying on S.R. 100
West. Cross State Road 19 (6-lanes) and continue about 1 mile till S.R.
100 becomes a 2-lane highway. Take first left into Kay Larkin Airport.
From Daytona: 50 miles.
From East Ocala:
Take State Road 40 East, turning left onto County Road 314 East toward
Salt Springs. Turn left onto State Road 19 North. Continue twenty miles
to Palatka. Turn left (at fourth traffic light) onto State Road 100 West.
Drive about 1 mile till S.R. 100 becomes a 2-lane highway. Take first
left into Kay Larkin Airport.
From Ocala: 40 miles.
From Orlando:
Take Interstate 4 East to Interstate 95 North to exit 89. Take U.S. Highway
1 North to Bunnell. Turn right onto State Road 100 West toward San Mateo
and Palatka. S.R. 100 West joins U.S. Highway 17 North in East Palatka.
Cross over the St. Johns River, drive through downtown Palatka, then turn
left at division of S.R. 100 and U.S. 17 (at Hardee's, ABC Liquor) staying
on S.R. 100 West. Cross State Road 19 (6-lanes) and continue about 1 mile

Driving time from Orlando is about two hours.
From Tampa / St. Petersburg, West Ocala:
Take Interstate 75 North to exit 71. Take County Road 326 East one mile.
Turn left onto U.S. Highway 301 North. Continue north 20 miles to Hawthorne.
Turn right on State Road 20 East. Continue east for twenty-five miles
through Interlachen toward Palatka. Turn left on Moody Road at traffic
light (and St. John's Community College). At second light turn left onto
State Road 100 West. Drive 1/4 mile, then take first left after first
traffic light into Kay Larkin Airport.
Driving time from Tampa is about two and one half hours.

Driving a boat isn't called "swimming". Is piloting
a plane really "flying"? Get out!
Skydive Palatka is located on the northeast corner of
Kay Larkin Airport (28J), nearest the arrival end of (closed) Runway 24.
You may park at the FBO on the north side of the airport or in the grass
to the east of our building, near the tree line so as not to obstruct
the skydivers flying to the main landing area.
